Programs

The String Project Youth Ensemble is the intermediate ensemble of The String Project and is designed for students who have developed foundational skills on their instrument and are ready to engage in more advanced ensemble performance.

In this ensemble, students continue to strengthen their technical development, music reading, and ensemble musicianship while performing repertoire that introduces more complex rhythms, harmonies, and musical expression. Rehearsals focus on refining tone production, bow control, intonation, and musical interpretation.

 Mini Maestros is the entry-level ensemble of The String Project and is designed for beginning students who are just starting their journey with string instruments. In this ensemble, students learn the fundamental skills necessary for successful music-making, including proper instrument posture, basic bow technique, tone production, rhythm, and note reading.

 The Summer Institute is a program currently in development that will expand the educational opportunities offered through The String Project. Designed as a two-week immersive music experience, the Summer Institute will provide students with intensive instruction and creative exploration in multiple areas of music, including musical theater, music production, and music composition and theory.
